The exterior of the house is sided using cedar shingles for the upper level and gables, and cedar lap siding below the middle belly band. The saw tooth pattern along the bottom course of shingles and the tapered cedar porch columns create the Craftsman look. There is a covered porch on the east side and a deck just off the kitchen to the north, so that sunny or raining, there is an outside place to enjoy the stunning views of downtown and the Columbia River. Concrete paving stones provide paths around the house with planting beds interspersed between the walks and rock walls. |
